使われ方

Aの重要性を強調する（会議や議論で、ある要素の価値を高く評価する際に用います。）
play up one's achievements
自分の功績を誇張する（事実以上に大きく見せようとするネガティブな文脈でよく見られます。）
類義語との違い
- play down: 「重要性を低く見せる」「控えめに扱う」という意味で、play upの対義語です。あえて目立たせないようにする際に使います。
